Sales of automobiles gather pace in the month of June
The sales in the field of automobiles have witnessed a healthy recovery in the month of June 2021 as compared to the month of May 2021 as the states eased the restrictions related to COVID-19 and therefore, it paved the way for much improvement in the registrations of vehicles across different segments, including the automobile dealer’s body.
The retail sales of the passenger vehicle (PV) also rose up to 1,84,134 units in the month of June as compared to 85,733 units in the month of May. This is all because of the improvement in the situation of coronavirus across the country.
According to FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations), the collected data of the registrations of vehicles shows that from 1,295 registrations out of the 1,498 regional transport offices, the selling of two-wheelers rose up to 9,30,324 units in the month of June as compared to the 4,10,757 units in the month of May.
In the same way, the selling of the commercial vehicles also increased to 35,700 units in the month of June against 17,534 units in the month of May. The sales of the three-wheelers also surged to 14,732 units in the month of June from 5,215 units in the month of May. The sales of tractors also witnessed an increase in the registrations from 16,616 units in the month of May to 52,261 in the month of June.
