India’s largest Automobile Company Maruti Suzuki announced a 13.9% increase in total sales at 1, 16,606 units in January 2015, as compared to last year. The Company proclaimed that its domestic sales have elevated by 9.3% in this month to 1, 05,559 units as compared to 96,569 units in January 2014.
“Sales of teeny-weeny cars, including, Alto and Wagoner, dropped by 7.3% to 35,750 units”, MSI said in an interview.
The Company reported that the sales of the compact segment, including, Swift, Ritz, Estilo, and Suzuki Dzire have increased by 7.5% to 45,881 units against 42,669 units last year. MSI also announced sales of its Sedan Dzire Tour rose by 33% in January 2015.
The sales of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, launched in October 2014, settled at 6,005 units. The Company has sold 191 units of Bold SX4 in January.
Sales of Vans, Omni, and Eeco hiked by 8.2%, and Sales of Gypsy, Ertiga, and Grand Vitara elevated by 35% at 6,432 units in January.
Maruti Suzuki is also planning to launch various new and revived models, that will draw the attention of Indian customers.
