India looks poised for significant GDP increases over the next 10 years
Anish Shah, MD & CEO, Mahindra Group, talked about the ways the company handled the Covid threat and what the future might hold. He also said that a lot of momentum can be seen, this does not mean that the entire segment is behind us as there are certain segments of the economy that are still recovering and that can take some time.
Rural India is again leading the way. The tractor business has been seeing some remarkable growth in the industry which indicates a good sign. He also talked about our current situation saying that we are comfortable but not to a point where we can say that the problem is behind us. It is going fine with the new launches and the growth that would come in.
India is constantly working with the suppliers and for the time being, they don’t see any potential crisis but this does not cover the fact that we are not completely out of the woods. He added that the company is keeping the stocks ready but they expect a greater increase in demand as they come up with their newer models and thus, right now they are working on making sure that they will be able to meet the increased demand.
