Highlights of Meeting, by Finance Minister
The finance minister announced, that “One lakh crore corpus is created for aggregators, Farmer’s Produce Organisation (FPOs), cooperative societies to strengthen farm infrastructure. For Micro food enterprises (MFEs) a fund of Rs 10,000 crore. 2 lakh MEFs are benefitted to fishermen of 20000 crores under the scheme of Pradhan Mantri Sampada Yojana. in the next 5 years, they were expecting to increase fish production to 70 lakhs. This is expected to increase fish production to 70lakh tonnes in the next 5 years”.
15,000 crores will be set up for the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund. Rs 4000 crore to be allocated to the promotion of herbal cultivation. Around 10,00,000 hectares to be covered in the next 2years.Rs 500 crores for beekeeping initiatives being allocated, which will benefit 2lakh people in rural areas. Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund of Rs 15,000 crore will be set up.
