CHENNAI: On Thursday Dvara KGFS announced transactions worth Rs 7 crore through its Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) which was implemented in the remote rural areas that they operate in since April 19, 2020.
Villagers, those who are living in remote rural areas were greatly were in need to draw cash from the beginning of the lockdown for daily use as there was scarce or no access to banks or ATMs, the company told media.
More than 1000 wealth managers of Dvara KGFS familiarized the villagers with AEPS with the help of respective village heads and were successful to give facility to over 36,000 cash withdrawals and 60,000 balance inquiries through the platform.
Joby said, “Our Wealth Managers have received a lot of appreciation from the villagers on facilitating this service and we are seeing this as an effective tool that will help us move closer towards our mission of maximizing financial well-being for every individual in remote rural India”
