E&Y has been appointed as a digital consultant by the Indian Overseas Bank.

(IOB) has hired Ernst & Young as a technology consultant to help them reach their target of growing the percentage of people who use digital services. The consultant was hired as part of IOB’s growth plan and to digitalize its banking services, according to the company. The consultant will assist the bank in focusing on leveraging and integrating emerging technology while also assisting in improving the quality of service and distribution to its customers.

The Indian Overseas Bank has launched a digital platform for retail loans.

On digital platforms, Indian Overseas Bank has announced the launch of retail loans (home loans, personal loans, and clean loans). Partha Pratim Sengupta, Managing Director and CEO of Indian Overseas Bank, presided over the event, which was also attended by Executive Directors A. K. Srivastava and Srimathy S. The loans are now available on the bank’s website, through internet banking, and through the mobile banking app. Customers of IOB can apply for these loans via the bank’s website, mobile banking, or internet banking, whereas non-customers can only apply via the bank’s website.

In May, the Indian Overseas Bank will hold an EGM to allocate preferential shares to the government.

The meeting will consider and vote on a resolution to build, bid, and allow up to 246,54,23,932 Rs 10 shares for cash at an issue price of Rs 16.63 per equity share, plus a premium of Rs 6.63, for a total value of Rs 4,100 crore on a preferential basis to the Government of India, according to the statement.
