Why Should You Not Buy Toyota Innova Crysta?

Toyota has unveiled its exclusive and premium Crysta at a starting price of Rs. 13.83 lakhs in the market. Crysta is an upgraded version of Toyota Innova with a revived design and reformed features. Toyota Innova Crysta is a luxurious, powerful, and stylish MPV and tempting everyone with its bold appeal. The features of Crysta are well-known but do you know the drawbacks. Yes, this premium car has also some negative points that one must know. So, let’s have a deeper drive of Innova Crysta and find out why should you not buy Crysta:

No Petrol Engine: There is no petrol engine in any variant of Crysta. It has two diesel engine options; one is a 2.4-litre GD four-cylinder unit and the other is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. Because of diesel ban, buyers are shifting towards the choice of petrol engines. But Crysta doesn’t come with a petrol engine choice. So, it cannot be sold in Delhi.

Fewer Features in Lower Variants: The price tag of Toyota Innova Crysta is from Rs. 13.83 lakh to Rs. 20.78 lakh while its predecessor Innova is available in the range from Rs. 11.3 lakh to Rs. 16.6 lakh. There is a sharp increase in the price and Crysta offers a lot of high-end features. But, its lower variants haven’t got enough. If you buy its lowest variant at an on-road price of Rs. 14 lakh, you don’t get features like a basic infotainment system and automatic climate control. If you need all these features like projector headlamps, automatic climate control, 7-inch infotainment screen, etc, you have to pay minimum Rs. 18 lakhs. In comparison, there are other cars that fall under the same category, offering a lot of features and available at a cheaper price.

Heavy Steering: Innova Crysta comes with heavy steering which can give you a problem when you have to drive for long hours. In traffic or at low speed, it can become noticeable. The gear lever is also not much lighter.

No Automatic Gearbox with the 2.4-litre engine: Toyota Innova Crysta comes with 6-speed automatic gearbox but only with its bigger engine that is a 2.8-litre diesel engine. There is no automatic gearbox if you opt for the smaller 2.4-litre engine.

Low NVH: NVH means noise, vibration, and harshness levels which are not up to the standard in Crysta. Its diesel engines do not offer the best standards for refinement. A premium car should have the best NVH levels and refinement standards.
