Fuel prices hiked on Thursday again
The escalation in fuel prices continued on Thursday, with gasoline and diesel prices rising 35 paise and 9 paise, respectively, in the state capital. Gasoline costs 100.56 rupees per litre in Delhi, while diesel costs 89.62 rupees per litre on Thursday. Gasoline prices passed the 100 marks in Delhi on Wednesday.
In Mumbai, gasoline costs 106.59 rupees per litre, while diesel costs 97.18 rupees. In Calcutta, the price of gasoline rose by 39 rupees per litre and the price of diesel by 15 paises per litre. Litres of gasoline are now sold at INR 100.62 per litre and diesel and diesel prices at Rs 92.65 per litre today.
Other states have seen gasoline and diesel prices rise as well. Prices have risen across the country and differ from one state to another depending on the incidence of VAT.
The price of gasoline in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal has risen by 25 Paise to 108.88 rupees per litre in the city. Meanwhile, the price of diesel in Bhopal remained unchanged at 98.40 rupees per litre.
