“Consequently, our plants will be running for more days in July corresponded to May and June, ranging from 6 to 25 days beyond various plant sections,” Ashok Leyland announced in an administrative filing. On June 1, the organisation had declared that its manufacturing plants would be operational solely for up to ten days in the month due to lesser demand and lockdown in states where its factories were located.

During May, Ashok Leyland had said it had reduced production at its manufacturing factories due to a decline in demand, with the second wave of COVID-19 spreading across the country. The corporation has thoroughly investigated the demand situation, and efforts are being made to match the demand on the one hand while being cognisant of the supply situation’s disruptions. The Hinduja group flagship firm has proximity across domestic and international businesses.
